OUR VALUES
Kind
3% of all profits are donated to the Temples, top-rated NGOs on Charity Watch, with a score of A+..
Ethical
We use only 100% gold and silver - none of that tricky marketing language like "we aim to use recycled where we can". All collections are crafted in our RJC-certified studio - the highest level of ethical and sustainability certification attainable.
Independent
We are a 100% Made in India based small business. We are also independent, having raised no money from investors or VCs - we're funded entirely by sales of our own jewelry..
Our Purpose
BornSmart is an India-based jewellery house inspired by our country’s art and heritage. We craft 925 sterling silver pieces and devotional idols alongside everyday and occasion jewellery, pendants, bracelets, earrings, and custom designs—made with meticulous workmanship and modern finishing. Select products are created using electroforming, a technique that allows bold, lightweight forms with a seamless, high-detail finish. Our name reflects our ethos: born of tradition, made with smart craftsmanship for today.

Our Craftsmanship
Each BornSmart piece is handcrafted by master artisans in responsibly run ateliers across India, following Responsible Jewellery Council best practices. We use recycled metals in both our 925 sterling silver and gold pieces. All gemstones in our core collections are natural and responsibly sourced—we do not use synthetic stones.
All idols, solid-gold pieces, and special orders are finished by hand in India.
